Project overview
In my freshman year of college, my friend and I had the idea to create a cooking game about a cat who gains consciousness and learns to cook.
We wanted to create a game that would teach the player to learn to cook along side the cat, telling an interactIVe comic book story of a cat chef.

COMPETITOR ANALYSIS
IDEATION
we were inspired by classic comic book styles and chill cat games like purrfect tale. We started ideating character designs and comic layouts. We wanted to have the user feel like they were reading a vertical web novel.
To proceed in the game, we wanted it so the user to complete the cooking action to see the other panels so they cOULD also learn how to cook alongside the cat.
ASSETS
The game is still in production, but here are some of the assets I made for it! I wanted to have it feel like a cozy kitchen that the cat would be cooking out of.

C T
PROGRESS
The game is still a work in progress, but I wanted to share some of the final assets I created along the way. We wanted the game to feel personal and hand-drawn, so we developed a minimal visual style built around imperfect, expressive brushwork. Rather than making everything feel overly polished, embracing the small inconsistencies that make something feel comic-like.
This project was a unique intersection of many of my interests—illustration, design, storytelling, and cooking— gaving me the opportunity to explore how these hobbies can come together to create something playful and personal.
